Paper Dolls Original 纸人

Paper Dolls: Original is a first-person horror adventure steeped in East Asian tradition. A grieving, depressed father is driving his daughter to his ex-wife when imagined sounds, the same ones haunting his sleep, overwhelm him, and the car crashes. He wakes alone inside an old Asian mansion that feels both unfamiliar and uncomfortably known, with his daughter's faint crying somewhere deeper inside.

The mansion guards a secret a century in the making, and reaching the truth means exploring its disorienting rooms, outmaneuvering traps, and piecing together puzzles and hidden messages left behind by the dead. The paper dolls of the title hunt you, so survival often means running, hiding, and finding ways to seal them away before they reach you. A full playthrough runs roughly eight to ten hours.

The game came out of an unusual situation: horror titles cannot legally be published in China, and the developers, horror fans themselves, built it anyway as a deliberate step for their small team. Realistic environments and a soundtrack that blends chant with folk and rock music carry much of the dread.
