RUINER

RUINER is set in the cyber metropolis of Rengkok in 2091. You play a wired psychopath lashing out against a corrupt system, working with a secretive hacker friend to uncover the truth and retrieve your kidnapped brother. The visual register is cyberpunk by way of anime — neon, glitched signage, the dense industrial geometry of a city that has stopped pretending its population matters.

The combat is fast, brutal, and demanding. Brute force and elegant strikes need to be balanced — savage opponents come in waves, and slow-down time lets you select your points of attack before unleashing violence in concentrated bursts. The arsenal covers high-tech firearms and melee weapons, plus gadgets like energy shields, dash augmentations, and the signature switch-gun stun that lets you hack opposition onto your own side of the fight.

The story is driven by violent confrontation in a senseless world where trust is devalued currency. Reikon Games is an independent studio in Warsaw founded by veterans of The Witcher series, Dying Light, This War of Mine, and Shadow Warrior. The soundtrack covers Sidewalks & Skeletons, Zamilska, Antigone & Francois X, DJ Alina, and famed anime composer Susumu Hirasawa (Paprika, Millennium Actress). The total package is one of the most stylistically committed cyberpunk action games of its generation.
