Shadows of Adam

Shadows of Adam is a JRPG made as a love letter to the SNES-era classics, pairing a compelling story with a fast battle system and modernized visuals. The village of Adam has lived in quiet isolation behind the impenetrable haze of the Misty Woods since the days of the Wraith War, with magic, the dark power that fueled that war, long since vanished.

Darkness is descending once more, and Adam's legendary hero, Orazio, is gone: ten years ago he left without explanation and never returned, leaving his son and adopted daughter with a dark secret. That secret must now come out if the children hope to save both Adam and their father, even though revealing it could unhinge the world. The story follows four main characters, Asrael, Kellan, Curtis, and Talon.

Battles use a strategic AP management system, restoring AP automatically between rounds and through defeating enemies, an attrition design that rewards skill use and quick combat. Beautifully modernized SNES-inspired visuals are joined by an original soundtrack of over 44 tracks from Tyler Mire, with distinct themes for each area and character.
