STRIKERS 1945

STRIKERS 1945 is a port of one of the most famous titles from Psikyo's shooter series, a vertical-scrolling shooter that first appeared in arcades in 1995. A secret organization is attempting to take over the world, and you board a fighter plane to stop it, flying across the sea and sky and beyond.

The game is built on spectacle and challenge: battleships and tanks transform into futuristic mechs, the boss battles are punishing, and the dense Psikyo bullet patterns are legendary. You can fly six different WWII-era fighters, each with unique features, powering up with items, gaining sub-weapons, clearing the screen with bombs and unleashing formation attacks.

This release adds modern conveniences on top of the arcade original. You can set difficulty across seven levels, including HARD and VERY HARD modes, adjust lives, continues, controls and screen orientation, and play in authentic vertical mode or a reworked horizontal mode. Online rankings and a fixed-difficulty Score Attack mode let you compete with players worldwide to become the world's best Striker.
