The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos adapts the long-running French audio comedy series by John Lang into a turn-based tactical RPG. The Naheulbeuk universe parodies RPG and heroic fantasy tropes, and the game preserves the audio show's tone while building actual XCOM-style tactical combat under it.

Seven classic role-playing classes form the central party: Ranger, Elf, Dwarf, Barbarian, Magician, Ogre and Thief. Each carries their own skill tree, complete with squabbles, prejudices and incompetence that flavor every interaction. Three additional companions can be unlocked across the adventure. Adaptive difficulty ranges from accessible Story mode through Nightmare mode where small tactical mistakes are fatal.

The bestiary covers 100+ enemies, each rewarding distinct tactical approaches. Hidden destructive objects (including beer kegs) carry status effects that can turn fights. Eccentric environment design spans the cave entrance up to the luxury quarters of the evil lord Zangdar, passing through the goblin ice-skating park and a chaotic tavern. Bizarre conversations, absurd situations and the show's distinctive humor run throughout the campaign.
