True Fear Forsaken Souls Part 1

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1 is the opening chapter of a planned trilogy, set when the protagonist receives a letter from her sister and walks through fog to a house she doesn't quite recognize. Candles flicker in every window. The front door has rusted shut years ago, but something inside has been waiting for over two decades to be let in or out.

The game blends hidden-object scenes with cinematic puzzles and atmospheric exploration. A toggle lets you skip the hidden-object phases entirely if you prefer pure puzzle-and-narrative play. Camera framing leans cinematic, with composed shots leading you into rooms rather than the static viewpoints common to the genre.

Included with the Steam release is the Collector's bonus content from the original release: an extra level, a strategy guide, wallpapers and additional cutscenes. Full gamepad support comes standard. The trilogy continues into Part 2 with the protagonist's sister still missing and the family's past stretching back further than the rust on the door suggests.
