Valfaris Mecha Therion

Valfaris: Mecha Therion follows Therion's escape from Valfaris in the original game and continues his vendetta against Lord Vroll across the galaxy. Steel Mantis shifted the format from horizontal run-and-gun to a side-scrolling shoot-em-up, putting Therion inside Mecha Therion, a heavy combat suit bristling with weapon hardpoints.

The weapon roster splits into Destroyer, Melee and Auxiliary classes, and you mix loadouts to suit a level or a boss. Therion's signature Hellwraith, a minigun that fires tormented souls, ports over from the first game. Blood Metal collected mid-stage upgrades and unlocks additional add-ons between sorties.

A Challenge Mode unlocks after the first clear and rebuilds the rules around an arcade structure: lives instead of a health bar, on-the-fly weapon upgrades from pickups, downgrades on hit, and a score awarded for destroying everything destructible. Checkpoints become destructible too, costing safety in exchange for Blood of Valfaris bonuses.
