ARMA: Armed Assault

ARMA: Gold Edition packages Armed Assault together with the Queen's Gambit expansion. It is a first-person tactical military shooter built on realism and simulation, mixing sweeping conflicts spread across wide terrain with tighter close-quarters fighting. Players are pulled into an expanding storyline against sharp, aggressive opponents who keep the pressure on across a massive landscape.

The game offers an extensive infantry arsenal of 30 weapons and around 30 modern military vehicles for combat on land, in the air and over water. Players can lead and command a squad through battle, take on a single-player campaign, instant missions and a training library, or join large multiplayer matches across several online modes. Full mission editing rounds out the package, and the Queen's Gambit expansion adds an arms merchant who buys and sells weapons, ammunition and gear between missions. The simulation draws on technology related to Virtual Battlespace, used to train real soldiers, across a battlezone spanning some 400 square kilometers.
