Armored Brigade

Armored Brigade is a real-time tactical wargame that puts realism and playability ahead of spectacle, drawing on classics like Close Combat, Steel Panthers and Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm. Its premise is a Cold War that finally boiled over: an Iron Curtain separates NATO from the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact allies, and Europe is at war again.

You command mechanized formations across a long stretch of history, from the Kennedy and Khrushchev standoff through the final years of the conflict. Battles play out on large maps modeled on real terrain, where weather and visibility shape every plan and a wide spread of munitions, including artillery and air-to-air combat, means no two engagements unfold the same way. Tank warfare sits at the heart of it, demanding patience and positioning rather than brute force.
