About Wargame Airland Battle
Wargame: AirLand Battle is the sequel to European Escalation, set in a 1985 where months of NATO/Warsaw Pact tension boil over after an incident in the North Sea. The game's pitch is the depth: 2 sides, 12 nations, 750 units across tanks, planes, helicopters, and infantry, all of which you can fold into your custom battlegroup deck.
The dynamic single-player campaign lets you command the entire military resources of the period, with air forces fully integrated into ground operations. Each country's arsenal reflects its actual military doctrine, and players unlock new units or improved variants as they progress. Battlefields stretch up to 150 square kilometers per map, powered by a new graphics engine over the original.
NATO subdivides into the USA, UK, France, West Germany, Canada, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark; the Warsaw Pact covers the Soviet Union, Communist Poland, East Germany, and Czechoslovakia. The multiplayer side hosts ultra-complete modes for up to 20 players battling simultaneously, giving the strategic depth somewhere to expand beyond solo play.
