About ibb & obb
ibb & obb is a cooperative puzzle platformer for two players, built around a single mechanical idea: every level is divided by a thin horizon line, and on either side of it gravity points away from the line. Stand on the top half and you fall up; stand on the bottom and you fall down. The two characters — green ibb and pink obb — pass through gaps in the horizon to switch which way is down, and every puzzle is built around coordinating those flips together.
The game runs 15 main levels, with 8 hidden worlds tucked behind them that ramp the difficulty considerably and exist purely to test pairs who've internalized the rules. Local couch co-op was the original target — controllers on a sofa, both players staring at the same screen — but online matchmaking is available too for people without a partner in the room.
The whole thing is scored by Kettel, the Dutch electronic musician, whose warm melodic palette gives each level its own track. The art keeps a similar deliberate minimalism — flat colors, simple shapes — so that nothing competes with the brain-twist of reading two opposed gravity fields at once. Steam features include leaderboards, cloud saves and trading cards.
