ITTA opens with the protagonist waking surrounded by her dead family. A ghostly cat takes the form of the family pet, hands her a glowing revolver and becomes her only guide as she descends into a world of monstrous bosses sealed beneath what looks like a peaceful surface.

Eighteen bosses anchor the entire experience as twin-stick bullet-hell duels. From hulking ancient golems to toothy horrors, each fight demands different patterns and the spirit weapons you find along the way reshape your combat options with distinct attack styles. The pixel art world between fights is haunted and crumbling rather than vast.

The game leans into themes of personal struggle without disguising them as gameplay metaphors. Accessibility toggles for invincibility and player damage multipliers can be flipped at any time, so the difficulty curve never becomes a wall - the journey matters more than the gatekeeping.
