About Lethal League
Lethal League is a competitive fighting game where the only weapon is a single anti-gravity ball. Up to four players share a small arena, and the goal is straightforward: hit the ball, make it go faster, make it hit somebody else. With every successful strike the ball speeds up, until it's a barely visible projectile crossing the screen in a frame.
The basic verb is simple — swing at the ball when it's near you — but the mastery layer is substantial. Smashing redirects with extra force. Bunting absorbs and re-releases. Parrying turns an incoming ball back at the attacker. Each character has their own special abilities on top — the mad Candyman, the cyborg crocodile Latch, and the rest of the street-styled roster all play noticeably differently and reward different timing.
Local play is the default — up to four players on one screen, free-for-all or teams — and online multiplayer runs on GGPO rollback netcode, which keeps the speed of high-velocity rallies playable across distance. Private matches let you invite friends; quick match handles the matchmaking. A singleplayer challenge mode runs through opponents arcade-style toward a final bossfight.
The soundtrack is the other thing people remember: big-beat, hip-hop and house from artists like Grillo, Bignic and Dr. Lazer scoring the punches. The whole game has the energy of a fighting game and a sport simulator simultaneously, which is unusually rare and almost entirely the point.
