About Lonely Mountains Downhill
Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a downhill mountain-biking game from Megagon Industries. You and the bike, alone, picking a line down an unspoiled mountain — through forests, over boulder fields, across rivers, with no spectators, no commentators, and nothing on screen but the trail.
A custom physics model handles drops, slides, and impacts at low-poly fidelity. Each mountain has multiple trails of escalating difficulty; each trail is a puzzle of when to brake, when to launch off a rock, and where the hidden shortcuts cut whole segments off the lap. Crashes are frequent and immediate — checkpoint, retry.
The game escalates into a serious time-trial format: harder difficulty modes raise the crash cost (limited respawns per run, no checkpoints), and leaderboards compare your runs to the best in the world. Free Ride mode strips everything but the trail.
Bikes handle differently from each other — heavier ones soak crashes, lighter ones turn faster — and unlocks come as bike colours and outfits rather than mechanical upgrades. The audio is field-recorded ambient: birds, wind, gravel, tires.
