Mother Russia Bleeds

Mother Russia Bleeds takes the bones of Streets of Rage and infuses them with Hotline Miami's brutality. A crew of imprisoned street fighters in an alternate USSR must claw through criminal authority and forced addiction, using whatever bodies and weapons the levels hand them.

The drug system is the hook. A syringe filled from fallen enemies lets you trigger pharmacological rage states that crush skulls and rearrange the screen, but the addiction it represents is built into the story rather than treated as power fantasy.

Up to four players can brawl through the campaign locally, with a separate Survival Mode for those who want pure attrition. The pixel art is gorgeous and grim in equal measure, leaning into anxiety and unease rather than action-movie cool.
