About Nightmare Frames
Nightmare Frames is set in the Hollywood of 1985, where Alan Goldberg — a frustrated slasher movie screenwriter whose career has stalled — receives an offer he can't refuse. Helen Westmore, an eccentric millionaire, will grant him anything he wants if he can find the lost final work of horror director Edward Keller, said to be the scariest film of all time.
The investigation winds through B-movie production companies, VFX workshops, religious cults, and a small haunted town called Serena where Keller was last seen. The campaign carries Alan from ambient Hollywood horror through the gory depths of Hell itself across more than 80 playable locations and 50 characters to interact with.
The gameplay is classic point-and-click adventure built solely on inventory puzzles — no action sequences, no time pressure, just careful reasoning about what to combine with what. Synthwave musician Stefano Rossi composed the soundtrack, and Joe's Diner in the game contains an in-fiction radio station broadcasting licensed tracks by Heclysma, Decade Defector, Vincenzo Salvia, and Self Delusion. The developer's previous work includes Urban Witch Story and Billy Masters Was Right.
