About Parkitect

Parkitect is Texel Raptor's modern take on the classic theme-park tycoon genre, bringing back the design priorities of the original RollerCoaster Tycoon era while adding mechanics that the older games never reached. You build and manage parks across both a structured 26-scenario campaign and a freeform sandbox, with single-player and online cooperative multiplayer for up to eight players supported throughout.

The construction layer is broad. Terrain deformation, water placement, and a huge catalogue of decorative objects across multiple themes let you design parks with much more visual coherence than the older games allowed, with custom scenery available from Steam Workshop and modding support for adding your own. Over 70 of the world's most popular theme-park ride types ship with the game, alongside a roller-coaster designer that supports spinning, looping, launching, flying and a long list of less common coaster styles.

The distinguishing mechanical contribution is the behind-the-scenes management. For the first time in the genre, the routing of resources and the visibility of staff areas have meaning — guests can be annoyed by seeing janitor trolleys, supply shipments need to reach your shops without crossing guest pathways, and a well-designed park keeps the working infrastructure hidden from public view. The result is a tycoon game where the operational layer underneath the surface aesthetic actually matters, which gives players who like the immersive-park-design side of the genre something serious to work with.
