About Path of Giants
Path of Giants is a quiet, hand-crafted puzzle game that follows three explorers — Bern, Matchi and Totch — on their hunt for a lost treasure across icy caverns and snow-covered cliffs. The mechanic is simple: switch between the three characters, use their teamwork to solve each isometric layout, and make sure all three reach the next checkpoint together.
Each level is built by hand rather than procedurally, and the difficulty rises gently across the campaign. Puzzles vary in shape — some involve precise positioning, some require characters to stand on switches while another moves through a route that briefly opens, some hinge on figuring out which character has to go where first. The game never punishes mistakes harshly; the loop is closer to a relaxed thinking exercise than a logic test.
The presentation does most of the emotional work. Clark Aboud's original score sits gently under the action, the icy environments are bright and chillingly beautiful, and small animations give each of the three explorers their own personality without a single line of dialogue. Controls are simple point-and-click, with full keyboard, controller and touchscreen support for whichever device the player prefers.
A built-in colorblind feature swaps character colors for better visibility. The game ships as a calm, family-friendly experience designed so that anyone — kids, parents, players who don't normally play puzzle games — can pick it up and reach the end. Achievements reward the players who go deeper, but the design's primary goal is to send you to the credits feeling unhurried.
