Lamentum

Lamentum follows Victor Hartwell, a young aristocrat racing to cure the deadly illness consuming his beloved wife, Alissa. Their last hope rests in Grau Hill Mansion, whose Earl claims his work with ancient secrets and forgotten sciences can heal her, though the price he asks remains unspoken.

Set in New England in the mid-nineteenth century, it plays as classic survival horror in the lineage of Resident Evil and Silent Hill, threaded with the cosmic dread of the Cthulhu mythos. Victor needs a lamp to see in the dark, lock picks for sealed doors and chests, and restoratives for his health, alongside a range of melee and ranged weapons that each carry their own strengths; firearms reach far but burn through scarce ammunition.

A limited inventory forces hard decisions about what to carry, with item boxes for storage and shortcuts for quick swaps in combat. Who Victor chooses to trust shapes the course of events, and his decisions lead to several different endings built to reward replay.
