About Prison Simulator Prologue
Prison Simulator: Prologue is a free standalone prequel that takes the full game's prison setting back to the cruelest events those walls have ever witnessed. Where the main release covers regular guard duties, the prologue drops you into one specific historical day at the same facility — a day that starts looking like another boring shift and rapidly turns into the worst riot in the prison's history. The story available in the prologue isn't part of the full Prison Simulator at all.
The inmates here have grown tired of months of humiliation, execution and other stupid ideas from previous administrations. They've finally said 'enough.' Whether it's today or next month, the riot is coming, and only you stand between the convicts and a complete collapse of order. The framing makes clear that you're alone — no reliable backup, no certainty about which staff to trust — and the choice between bringing prisoners back to confinement or leaving the building in a body bag is entirely on you.
The gameplay covers redesigned environments, new events, new dialogues, new routines, and weapon mechanics including actual shooting. Have you ever dreamed of weapons at night? Grab a gun — without one, you may catch a ride into the afterlife. If you fancy yourself a fighter, the nightstick is a viable alternative for the right approach. Take part in negotiations when possible. Benches burn in the yard, battles rage over canteen tables, the workshop turns into a slaughterhouse. New models, items, soundtrack and sound effects round out the standalone experience.
