Reminiscence

Reminiscence is a single-player psychological horror narrative game built in Unity. As the world collapses into anarchy, you return to the house you left behind to search for your missing family. Recent discoveries have given you mastery over Time, and you intend to use it to find the cause of your loved ones' disappearance.

You explore your old home, a typical American household of the 1950s, alongside an alternate version of it, corrupted and worn down by time. A watch lets you travel between the two eras, and a Rollback mechanic rewinds an object's state through time, letting you rebuild things that were destroyed or shift their temporality. Dual-era puzzles stand between you and the truth buried in your confused memories.

The two oppressive worlds toy with the player at every turn, and somewhere in the middle of your experiments you begin to sense that they have drawn in an unusual guest. Scripted events and detailed narration carry the dual-time mystery toward its answer.
