Replica

Replica is an interactive novel told through the screen of a cellphone. You are handed the phone of an unknown owner and, under government coercion, told to hack into their accounts and comb through usage history and social media records for evidence of terrorism.

The setting is a country shaken by a recent terror attack, where the state has gained the legal power to inspect personal data and where declining inspection is treated as proof of guilt. As you read through the owner's private messages and posts, the game makes the act of peering into a stranger's life feel less like an intrusion and more like a duty, gradually turning you into the state's model patriot.

The short, pointed experience branches into twelve different endings and eight achievements, depending on how far you are willing to go.
