Resonance

Resonance opens with a brilliant particle physicist dying unexpectedly. The race is on to secure his terrible new technology before it falls into the wrong hands, and the lives of four playable characters become entangled as they fight against the clock to find the dead scientist's secret vault. Their suspicions, memories, and connections all converge as four ordinary people work together to prevent a potentially cataclysmic disaster.

Four simultaneously playable characters can be swapped between freely. The long- and short-term memory system is the game's defining mechanic: ask anybody about anything in the game using items and topics you've stored across both memory types. Conversations become investigative tools in their own right.

The storyline twists based on player decisions, with over ten hours of gameplay across the campaign. Voice work features fan-favorite Logan Cunningham (Bastion). A joint effort between Wadjet Eye and xii games, the adventure is squarely in the old-school point-and-click tradition with a thoughtful update on how player knowledge persists.
