FoxTail

FoxTail is a hand-drawn pixel-art adventure modeled directly on the mid-1990s point-and-click style. Leah, the young fox protagonist, sets out to find a cure for her sick grandmother and ends up traveling through forests, swamps and underground caves, meeting strange creatures and uncovering hints about her grandfather's mystical past.

The puzzles aim for variability rather than single-solution rigidity. Many problems can be solved through different but equally complex routes, depending on which items you've found, which characters you've helped and which dialogue paths you've followed. Side characters carry their own lives, and Leah's progress depends on getting involved with their stories along the way.

The pacing is intentionally slow in the old-school sense: backgrounds reward staring at them, characters are voiced and animated frame by frame, and the world feels lived-in rather than designed around puzzles. Cunning and charisma carry Leah through the labyrinths and night forests where her bigger fears live.
