Skirmish Line

Skirmish Line places you in command of an Allied squad in the Pacific Theater of World War II, holding the line against the fierce Imperial Japanese military. You train, equip, and lead your soldiers, digging trenches, calling in artillery, and upgrading the squad as the situation shifts.

The game takes its cues from Mud and Blood, keeping core ideas like a bird's-eye camera, semi-autonomous units, and heavy randomization, then layering on new mechanics and content. Both veterans of that series and newcomers face a stiff challenge against an enemy armed with exotic weapons, vehicles, and the infamous Banzai charge.

Three modes shape the fight: Defense in Depth, where you fall back through three successive positions; Point Defense, a no-retreat advance for command points styled after Mud and Blood 2; and a persistent Campaign that spans missions while a demanding theater commander weighs your men against the objectives. Ribbons, medals, and rank unlock special weapons, soldiers, and tactics.
