About Door Kickers
Door Kickers is a real-time SWAT tactical game played from a clean 2D top-down perspective, designed around the same kind of planning-and-execution rhythm that drove the classic Rainbow Six games. You analyse the layout of a building, plot routes for each member of your team, choose breach points, allocate equipment, and then watch the plan execute in real time — with the freedom to pause at any moment when something doesn't go to plan.
The game eschews most of the genre's conventions about turn structure. There are no turns, no hexes, no action points, no awkward interfaces between you and your intent — just the building, your team, and the bad guys inside. A perfect run with no false steps, every entry hitting the exact right moment, is the long-term skill you're chasing, but most levels can also be completed in minutes through on-the-fly improvisation when the original plan falls apart. The game accepts both approaches.
The content surface is wide. A non-linear campaign of bespoke levels covers the curated content, but the mission generator and built-in level editor together produce effectively unlimited additional play, and modding support extends the toolkit further. Single-player operates as the primary mode, with two-player online cooperative multiplayer available for missions that benefit from coordinated planning. The game is realistic enough to capture the texture of close-quarters battle without being so simulationist that it becomes inaccessible — the action stays paced for play, not for procedure documentation.
