About Nexus - The Jupiter Incident
At the dawn of the 22nd century, the conquest of space and the colonization of the solar system have fallen under the control of a handful of vast, ambitious mega-corporations. The balance they keep is fragile, and a discovery made at the very edge of the solar system shifts the technological advantage and shatters that balance, sparking a new conflict known as the Jupiter Incident.
Nexus is a real-time, mission-based tactical space game with spectacular battles rendered at motion-picture quality. The emphasis is firmly on tactics and action: you control up to a dozen battleships at once, encountering aliens, unknown solar systems and astrophysical phenomena in a struggle to save Earth. The campaign runs across six episodes and more than 26 missions, with objectives spanning espionage, stealth, sabotage, rescue, science and open combat.
The game gives you up to 10 highly detailed, customizable ships that range from basic command to near-simulation depth, set against six alien species with their own race-specific tactics and 30 distinct alien vessels. More than 50 unique characters and 90 weapons and devices fill out the campaign, while a flexible 3D starmap lets you zoom in on over 350 planets, moons and comets, all moving according to real physics.
