Unexplored is the roguelite that feels like a roguelike: an accessible yet challenging action RPG praised for its fantastic level generator, real-time combat and a surprising amount of content and depth, with free DLC adding even more variety. You explore dangerous dungeons, solve mysterious puzzles and battle hundreds of foes in intense melee combat.

The goal is to descend to the dragon in the depths of the dungeon of doom, slay it for the Amulet of Yendor and carry it back to the surface. Every run generates an intricate map, hinting at foes and puzzle solutions to come, since the game knows what waits on the deepest levels before you even start. You face over 50 bosses, from the Queen Ant to the Balrog and several dragons, some of which can only be slain with the right weapons found earlier.

In true roguelike fashion the game does not tell you which potions will save or kill you, leaving you to risk them or use Magic Scrolls. You wield two items at once, mix offensive and ranged loadouts, and can go stealth with the right cloak for surprise attacks. Combat can be paused for inventory and tactics without leaving the screen. Progression mixes per-run Potions of Strength and Life with permanent gold and achievement-unlocked equipment, but death is permanent and takes your powers with it. Crafting, mixing, vendors, hub floors and a huge variety of enemies and traps round it out.
