About 60 Seconds! Reatomized
60 Seconds! Reatomized is the remastered re-release of Robot Gentleman's atomic-apocalypse dark comedy, with 4K support, refreshed 2D graphics, hand-drawn 3D textures, a new interactive menu and a technical refresh on top of the original 2015 game. The premise is unchanged and still excellent: nuclear strike incoming in sixty seconds, your suburban home is the only refuge, and you have to choose what to grab and who to save before the timer runs out.
The scavenger phase is the joke. The clock is merciless, your own furniture conspires against you, the house layout shifts between playthroughs, and the fundamental question — what to take, who to leave behind — has no clean answer. Once you reach the fallout shelter, the survival phase begins. Whatever you scavenged and whoever you saved feed directly into how long the McDoodle family lasts, ration food and water, manage radiation exposure, face increasingly difficult moral decisions, and occasionally send someone out into the wasteland for resources you forgot about.
The Reatomized edition adds Survival Challenges — short bespoke storylines that test your survival skills under specific constraints — plus new opportunities to escape the wasteland in style via a multi-playthrough story arc, a new relationship system between the McDoodles producing additional stories and weird interactions, fresh sounds and art, unlockable visual content for decorating the shelter, and additional achievements. The dark humour of the original is intact, the unpredictable random events keep each run distinct, and the post-apocalyptic absurdity remains the framework on which the harder survival decisions get hung.
