9 Monkeys of Shaolin is a return to the classic beat 'em up in the spirit of old-school games, made for anyone who spent childhood hours crushing foes on SNES and SEGA brawlers. It comes from the creators of the hardcore brawler REDEEMER.

You play Wei Cheng, an ordinary Chinese fisherman who sets out to avenge the friends and kin killed when pirates raided his quiet village. He is no easy mark: he has grasped the rudiments of an ancient martial art that only legendary Shaolin monks have truly mastered. With a trusty battle staff in hand, he sets out on a hard road through medieval China and merciless fights against hordes of varied enemies.

Three distinct fighting styles let you battle on the ground, in the air or with mysterious magic seals, combining them to overcome every foe. A captivating narrative follows Wei Cheng's rise from simple fisherman to master, across more than 25 levels, Chinese villages, a pirate ship, monasteries, ancient ruins and more, with an extensive development system of perks and items, 10 types of polearm, and co-op play for a friend to fight alongside you.
