Battle Ram

Battle Ram is a small arcade action game built around a single premise: scientists in a secret laboratory have created a powerful battle lamb to fight robots, and you control it. The control scheme is mouse-only, which gives the gameplay a unique twitchy feel that mixes target practice with dodging.

The setting alternates between the lab where the ram was created and military training grounds where increasingly elaborate robotic opponents are fielded against you. Each level has its own objectives — dodge missiles in one, melee through robot patrols in another, navigate hazards in a third — and the difficulty curve is steep.

The game makes no pretence to being a sprawling experience. A relatively small number of levels, each genuinely challenging, designed to be replayed until mastery. Upbeat music keeps the tone light despite the punishing pace.

A small indie release in the lineage of older flash-style arcade challenges — short, focused, hostile to your reaction speed, and clear about what it's trying to be. Fans of high-skill arcade titles will find the loop familiar even if the mascot is unusual.
