Black Powder Red Earth

Black Powder Red Earth is set in the near present. Following the invasion of Iraq, Private Military Contractors have become the preferred instrument of foreign policy for the petro-monarchies of the Middle East's failed states. Staffed with US special operations veterans, these PMCs select, train and lead armies of local nationals, and their combat actions count not as acts of war but as foreign internal defense. You step into the event horizon of a failed state as a contractor with Cold Harbor, hunting jihadist terrorists in war-torn sprawls as a lethal surrogate for the host nation.

The game is a minute-to-minute turn-based tactics game set in a proxy war between a failing petro-state dictatorship and a brutal jihadist insurgency. Fighting in war-torn urban environments, you lead an enhanced-capability advisory and enabler unit, conducting kinetic actions with full lethal surrogacy to accomplish your missions.

Based on the Amazon best-selling graphic novels of the same name, it was developed with the support and advice of Special Operations combat veterans from the Commanders In-Extremis Force and by the designer of the Decentralized Battle Space Program. There are no tech trees, base building or R&D mini-games; the game focuses entirely on meaningful tactical decisions that shape the outcome of urban raids.
