Buissons

Buissons is a competitive local-multiplayer hide-and-seek game built around a single, deliberately ridiculous conceit: every player is a sentient bush trying to outlast all the other bushes. Movement happens at night, when the darkness hides your motion; daytime is for staying still and trying to spot the other players, who are doing exactly the same thing to you. Get spotted moving and you become an easy target.

The game collapses to one button. You move at night and you fart — which is, in the game's vocabulary, the lethal attack. The simplicity is the point: anyone in the room can pick up a controller and play within seconds, but winning requires patience, observation and good timing. Bushes that fart too often give themselves away; bushes that never fart can't actually defeat anyone.

Every match generates a fresh forest, and four distinct ecosystems each carry their own environmental hazards you can use against opponents. Two to four players play locally on one machine, though Steam Remote Play Together and Parsec make online sessions easy without needing more than one copy. The aesthetic is hand-drawn, hand-animated, and pitched squarely at producing as many laughs as possible in a short evening.
