Samurai GUNN

Samurai GUNN is a lightning-fast Bushido brawler designed for two to four players, with combat collapsed to its absolute essentials. Each samurai is armed with a sword and a gunn, with only three bullets per life. Everything dies in one hit. The whole game has three buttons — jump, slash, shoot — and you and your friends can learn how to play it in ten seconds.

The deceptive depth is what makes it stick. Underneath the absolute simplicity sits a combat system you can keep playing for years. Deflect your opponent's bullets back at them with a well-timed slash. Play dead to lie in wait for a surprise attack. Knock your opponent into the lake so their waterlogged gun is too wet to fire. Hold down the slash button to change stances, giving you a slight advantage based on whether you are above or below your opponent. The strategic possibilities expand the more you play.

The air control system is the technical signature. Slashing immediately after jumping launches you across the screen with momentum, and your exact timing determines the speed — which allows for nuanced midair combat that experienced players can string into complex offensive sequences. Quick reflexes and strategic positioning together determine outcomes; raw button mashing loses to a player who's actually thinking. Few competitive multiplayer games extract this much depth from this little input complexity.
