About Chivalry Medieval Warfare
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is a brisk first-person slasher of medieval combat, built around large multiplayer battles. It chases the feeling of truly standing on a medieval battlefield, drawing on the intensity of swordfighting films like 300, Gladiator and Braveheart, and bringing that to competitive online combat.
The game is skill-based and handles much like a shooter, except your arsenal is medieval steel: battleaxes, maces, swords, shields and longbows, rather than guns and grenades. Set in a fictional yet gritty world, battles of up to 32 players see you breaking into castles, sacking villages and dueling for honor in the arena. A deep melee system lets you reshape strikes and parries on the fly with the mouse, for tight, precise control, with as many as 60 brutal weapons to wield.
A dynamic objective system pushes team tactics to the front, with players battering down gates, raiding villages and assassinating enemy royalty, supported by siege weapons from catapults and ballistae to battering rams and boiling oil. Offline play against AI lets newcomers learn the controls first. Note that official servers were shut down in April 2024, though community-run servers and offline AI play remain available.
