Contraption Maker

Contraption Maker reunites the team behind The Incredible Machine to bring chain-reaction puzzling forward with a new physics engine, sharper art and online play. Drop parts on a board, watch a cat chase a mouse into a basket that tips a bowling ball into a trampoline, and finish the goal stated at the level start.

The campaign ships with over 200 official puzzles, and the Workshop hosts more than a thousand player-made ones. The Maker Lab lets up to eight players cooperate on a single contraption in real time, useful when one person designs and the others sabotage. A built-in JavaScript editor exposes the physics and parts for anyone wanting to script entirely new games.

Parts include the staples (springs, conveyors, ropes, balloons) alongside critters that wander, react and occasionally chew through your setup. Sandbox mode places no limits, so a working cheese factory or an endless perpetual-motion sculpture is fair game.
