Prime Mover

Prime Mover, from 4Bit Games, is an open-ended puzzle game about designing circuit boards. You build boards to solve a wide range of problems rooted in logic and the basics of computer science, working your way up from the humble transistor to a full processor.

Every puzzle accepts infinitely many solutions, though some beat others by a clear margin. You can measure each design's speed and efficiency against your friends' on online leaderboards and watch trends across global histograms. A varied toolbox of chips supports deep optimization, even nesting whole boards inside other boards, layer upon layer.

Woven through the puzzles is a story: memory fragments scattered across the blueprint let you follow the Prime Mover's trail and piece together the story of the Byte of Burden. The score comes from Jonathan Geer, composer of the Owlboy soundtrack.
