Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade

Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade preserves four classic Taito arcade Darius titles in seven total versions, each with added features. The original 1986 Darius was first released in a custom 3-screen cabinet with in-seat bass speakers delivering bass directly to the player; the aquatically themed giant robotic fish bosses and Zuntata-composed soundscapes won fans worldwide. The collection brings all of that history into one Steam package.

The lineup: Darius (old, new, and extra versions from 1986-1987 with progressive difficulty balancing), Darius II (1989 dual screen version with new bosses, weapons, and the ability to switch directions during boss battles), Sagaia (versions 1 and 2 from 1989, the international redesign of Darius II with shorter stages and removed routes), and Darius Gaiden (1994, the first single-screen entry with spectacular semi-transparent effects, parallax scrolling, mid-boss capture, and the black hole bomb).

Steam-exclusive features include multi-monitor support (2 or 3 monitors for authentic arcade feel) and simulated in-seat speaker output using a subwoofer. Quick Save and Load, display features with scanlines and smoothing, configurable difficulty and lives, info gadgets, and Training Mode with selectable powerup levels and zone practice all extend the original arcade experience for home play.
