About Dishonored 2
Dishonored 2 is Arkane Studios' follow-up to their 2012 first-person stealth-action breakthrough. Set 15 years after the original, with the Lord Regent vanquished and the Rat Plague past, an otherworldly usurper has seized Empress Emily Kaldwin's throne — and you can play as either Emily reclaiming her crown or as her royal protector Corvo Attano, both fully voiced characters with their own dialogue and emotional responses.
The game spans Dunwall and the new coastal city of Karnaca, which holds the keys to restoring Emily to power. The signature Arkane immersive-sim design returns — multiple solutions to every mission, deeply interlocking systems, and choices about lethality that affect both the immediate world state and the larger story outcomes.
New supernatural powers branch from the Mark of the Outsider. Become a living shadow to silently stalk targets, link enemies so they share a common fate, mesmerize foes and dominate their minds, or reverse time within a small radius. Advanced bonecharm crafting and upgrade trees customise builds significantly.
The Void Engine, built from id Tech and heavily modified by Arkane, drives detailed urban environments, responsive stealth AI, and signature mission setpieces — the Dust District ravaged by sandstorms and warring factions, and the clockwork mansion with shifting walls, deadly traps, and clockwork soldiers. One of the medium's reference points for what immersive-sim design can achieve.
