Dread Templar

Dread Templar is a fast, hardcore old-school first-person shooter that channels the classics of the 90s while layering on the depth of contemporary shooters. Built by a solo developer over three years, its campaign follows a Dread Templar on a quest for vengeance through the evil realm, set on becoming the scariest thing in hell and beyond.

The game leans hard on customization. More than 100 upgrades feed a large arsenal that runs from katana blades to firearms and infernal weapons, letting you mix endless combinations of skills and powers into your own playstyle. FPS staples like dashing and bullet time keep the brutal pace under control as you tear apart 20-plus enemy types and face up to ten boss fights.

Environments shift from the dark depths of hell to frozen pirate ships, all rendered in detailed retro pixel art and driven by a head-banging original soundtrack. The 25-plus sprawling levels hide 19 side areas, over 170 secrets and 20 challenging puzzles, with epic rewards for thorough explorers, and five selectable filters let you change the game's look entirely.
