Egypt Old Kingdom

Egypt: Old Kingdom is a turn-based strategy simulator covering the period of the Great Pyramids, developed with the assistance of Egyptologists. It places you in Memphis, across the years 3500 to 2140 BC and the first six dynasties of pharaohs, as one of the many incarnations of the great Horus, fighting alongside the kings against the mighty Seth and the disasters he unleashes.

Your task is to unify Lower and Upper Egypt, build a stable economy and erect the Great Pyramids, leading their construction and choosing their design and materials, an enormous investment, but the only way to keep peace and order. As an ancient society simulator, the game has you deal not only with the problems of farmers and craftsmen but also with important political decisions that define the kingdom's future, against numerous challenges and historical events.

The game faithfully recreates the world of the Old Kingdom: you exploit new lands, send expeditions to distant places, meet different cultures and expand Egypt's borders, before facing the havoc of the First Intermediate Period. Compared to its predecessor, Predynastic Egypt, it offers more diverse regional tasks, varied tactics, unique bonuses from patron gods, a longer playthrough and a new 3D engine with skeletal animation.
