Dread X Collection 3

Dread X Collection 3 is the third entry in the Dread X horror anthology series, this time featuring 12 all-new games made by 11 indie teams plus the prolific Torple Dook. Each team had 10 days to create their entry, all themed around the brief Spooky Cute (dancing skeletons, dogs in spider costumes, vampire bats). The framing story continues from previous collections: Leo and the live-in alien consciousness Prometheus arrive at a mountaintop castle to find Prometheus's shattered consciousness.

The 12 games span genres dramatically: 3D platformers, classic adventure games, an ice-cream simulator, an FMV adventure in the style of Harvester, a monster-raising sim with racing minigame, a reverse horror about a sentient hair conditioner, a microgame collection within the anthology, and others. Specific entries include Bete Grise (90s-style isometric hotel adventure), Bubbo: Adventure on Geralds Island (Super Mario 64-inspired platformer), Chip's Tips (cursed children's TV show), Disparity of the Dead, EDEN: Garden of the Faultless, Matter OVER Mind, Nice Screams at Funfair, REACTOR, SATO WONDERLAND, Soul Waste, SPOOKWARE @ The Video Store, and Submission.

A new interactive launcher from the creator of Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion ties the package together with expanded story that sheds light on the first two collections. Quirky, dense, and the kind of experimental horror that only short-duration jams can produce.
