FORWARD: Escape the Fold - Ultimate Edition was built to be the perfect bitesized roguelike dungeon crawler. You choose a champion and face a relentless crawl through card-based dungeons, collecting items to power your abilities and defeating the gruesome monsters in your path, always pressing forward.

The progression system has you pick a path from three cards at every turn, and choosing wisely matters, since one bad decision can send you to the graveyard. This is a high-energy roguelike where you crawl one card at a time and combine objects found in chests, markets and at the end of each dungeon to bolster your character, while cursed items lurk with devastating effects. Designed for replayability, each ascent feels fresh and challenging even to experienced players.

The Fold holds seven champions to unlock, each with unique powers and backstories that radically alter your ascent and playstyle, plus more than 100 fully detailed item-cards and leaderboards for the most powerful players. Fast-paced one-input gameplay keeps things dynamic, all rendered in gorgeous 2D pixel art. The game is the work of solo developer Christophe Coyard under the name Two Tiny Dice, grown from a 2019 game jam into a polished release.
