Howl

Howl unfolds in the Middle Ages, where a 'howling plague' turns anyone who hears the beasts' cries into a ravenous creature that spreads the curse with howls of its own. Born deaf, the Heroine is immune, which makes her the one person able to move safely through the ruined land in search of a cure.

As a combat Prophet she can read what her enemies intend, planning as many as six steps ahead. Her toolkit spans exploding, lightning, and piercing arrows alongside skills such as Smoke Bombs and the invisibility of Shadow Step. Each wolf species fights differently, with some rushing in, some absorbing heavy hits, and others striking from a distance.

The visuals are drawn in a flowing 'living ink' style that paints each scene as you play. Five chapters, including the free Heart of Rot side-story, total 78 levels; Heart of Rot adds its own map, fresh enemies, a new boss, the Lightning Shot skill that carries into the main game, and an ally who fights beside you, and it needs only the base game to play.
