About Jazzpunk Director's Cut
Jazzpunk casts you as Polyblank, an agent in an alternate-history Cold War where Soviet plots compete with corporate espionage and the occasional sentient cocktail. The structure is first-person adventure, but the gameplay is mostly poking every object on screen to see what joke the developers buried inside it — half the room is a punchline waiting to be triggered.
Necrophone Games shipped the Director's Cut with additional content, including a two-player Wedding Cake versus mode and added jokes throughout the main campaign. The visual style is flat-shaded low-poly with bright primary colors, which keeps every scene readable as a comic strip even when the screen is full of background gags.
The soundtrack leans on homemade analog electronics and exotic percussion, sitting somewhere between exotica records and corporate training tapes. Each level is a small open environment crammed with mini-games — pizza delivery, frog frogger, a Wii Sports parody — that exist purely so the writers can land their next bit.
