Journey To The Savage Planet

Journey to the Savage Planet drops you onto planet ARY-26 as the newest recruit of Kindred Aerospace, self-proclaimed 4th best interstellar exploration company. Your job is to determine if the planet is fit for humans, which mostly means scanning every plant, animal and rock formation while not getting eaten by them.

The cataloging loop is the core. Strange spherical birds, hallucinogenic plants, festering alien orifices and dozens of other species need scanning to fill out the bestiary, with each entry feeding research progress that unlocks crafting upgrades. A 3D printer turns space trash into useful items, supplementing the laser pistol, rocket booster pack and probe the company gave you for free.

The humor leans absurdist and frequently crass. Phrases like 'cucumber sh*twater' and 'festering butthole' show up in serious lore entries, the corporate satire never lets up, and the writing carries the whole tone without trying to be self-serious. Solo or two-player online co-op covers the campaign. A central mystery (are you actually alone on this planet?) threads through the discoveries.
