Meadow

Meadow takes the world of Might and Delight's Shelter series and turns it into a massively multiplayer sandbox without the survival pressure. The framing is openly described as a forum in games' clothing — a peaceful online experience where you play as any of multiple animal species, exploring the largest expanse of land ever created for a Shelter title, meeting other players' animals along the way, and communicating through specially designed emotes, symbols and sounds rather than text or voice chat.

The social experience is the entire point. Band together with other animals, form alliances, or choose to explore alone — there's no hunting, no feeding pressure, no survival mechanic, just exploration and quiet communication. Use your senses to discover and track other animals across landscapes that span every Shelter-series biome. Visit the den to choose from up to 9 different playable species, modify your chosen animal with over 60 skins, and explore more than 90 expressions and symbols to unlock as you spend time in the world.

The more Shelter products you own, the more bonuses you unlock. Each Shelter game lets you play as that game's animal here — Shelter 2 unlocks the lynx, and so on. Owning all the Shelter games gives access to the adorable bear cub from Paws: A Shelter Game. Soundtracks grant unique sound abilities. Interactive books unlock 3D emotes. Owning the entire Shelter catalogue unlocks the bird species. A new original soundtrack from Retro Family scores the whole experience.
