About Eastshade
Eastshade casts you as a traveling painter visiting an island your late mother once painted. There is no combat. Your easel is the central tool: anywhere a scene catches your eye, you can compose a painting, sometimes with specific subject requirements from a quest-giver, sometimes for your own collection. Finished paintings can be given to NPCs in exchange for items, favors and unlocked dialogue topics.
The island is populated by anthropomorphic animal residents, each with their own troubles, requests and stories. Conversations are fully voiced with dynamic topic unlocks based on what you've discovered. Helping a sister-and-brother bookbinding shop, a stranded musician on a cliff, or a shadowy figure on the bridge feeds into a quietly interconnected web of side stories.
Crafting and schematics let you build items needed to surmount natural obstacles (campfires for cold nights, rafts for rivers, ladders for ledges). Eastshade Studios' open-world exploration loop runs about ten to twelve hours and stays committed to the wholesome painter premise from start to finish.
