New Super Lucky's Tale

New Super Lucky's Tale is a complete reimagining of the original Super Lucky's Tale rather than a port. Playful redesigned levels, added new ones, rebuilt the camera with full rotation support, tightened movement controls, and overhauled the story, cinematics, music, and nearly every other aspect of the original game.

The gameplay vocabulary covers jump, burrow, and tail swipe as the core verbs, used across a huge variety of gameplay types: expansive 3D hub worlds, story-based adventure levels, 2D side-scrolling challenges, mini-games, mind-bending puzzles, and thrilling boss battles. Lucky's journey through the Book of Ages — a magical artifact that opens doors to amazing worlds — provides the larger narrative frame.

The antagonist is the evil sorcerer Jinx and his villainous family, the dreaded Kitty Litter, who have stolen the missing pages of the Book and need to be defeated to recover them. Thousands of collectibles fill each world. Rewarding secrets reward exploration. An entire wardrobe of unlockable costumes lets stylish adventurers customize Lucky's look. The whole project is designed to delight and challenge players of all ages, which is the specific lineage of 3D platforming the game pays tribute to.
