About Nuclear Option
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic, realistic battlefield of the near future. Ten playable aircraft span counter-insurgency to stealth attack helicopters to strike bombers, with each one offering a fully detailed cockpit, situational awareness HUD identifying nearby targets, and immersive flight physics that simulate stalls, spins, and g-force effects across up to 50 individually modeled physics parts per aircraft.
The damage model is granular. Each aircraft is composed of 30-50 detachable parts, and the condition of each part affects how the plane flies. Realistic flight dynamics across dozens of aerodynamic surfaces produce behavior that responds to actual aerodynamic principles rather than scripted handling. Various controllers work, and a mouse-controlled virtual joystick supports players without specialized hardware.
The weapon set includes guns, air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, bombs, cruise and ballistic missiles, and the title's namesake nuclear weapons — accurately simulated with shockwave propagation across a 100km-wide map. The included mission editor supports solo, PVP, and PVE multiplayer combat across player-hosted lobbies. Persistent battlefields with lingering wreckage and smoke, dynamic AI ground vehicles and aircraft, and a new naval-themed archipelago map round out the package.
